This unique knife was produced for and available exclusively through and their sales channels. 

The first defining feature of this elite knife is its full-flat-ground PlainEdge™ blade, which is precision machined from Crucible® Industries' CPM® 20CV. CPM 20CV is a highly wear resistant, powder metallurgy stainless steel that contains a high volume of vanadium carbides and the highest amount of chromium of any vanadium-rich stainless steel currently available. This potent combination of elements gives it a remarkable combination of high wear resistance, superior corrosion resistance, good impact toughness, and excellent polishability. These properties are further enhanced by the powder metallurgy process, which ensures a very fine grain size and uniform distribution of the alloys throughout the steel. 

Equally unique, the handle of this Delica 4 Exclusive combines red fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN) with a black Zome treatment. The lightweight handle components are first injection molded in a base red color. They are then hand dyed using a painstaking process called Zome (pronounced "zoh-may"). Inspired by traditional Japanese art forms used to dye textiles, expert artisans hand brush a black dye onto each handle to create distinctive, one-of-a-kind patterns. This labor-intensive technique is reminiscent of classical hiki-zome (brush dyeing) and makes every one of these knives an individual work of art.
