The FPE Series board is designed for commercial use and the same material and composition as the series, it is a different colour primarily for use in commercial kitchens where it's easier to see the ingredients you're working on.

Each Hasegawa board has a wooden core to help with rigidity and keeps its shape while creating a weight saving over solid synthetic materials. The wooden core is sterilised and fully enclosed in the plastic casing of the board and so not exposed.
